I’m Psychic and Finally Just Got Rickrolled

I had never been rickrolled. I was perusing the /., and I was opening stories of interest into background tabs, when I came upon a news item about a surgical robot. The following series of thoughts occured:

  1. Mmmmm… robots…
  2. Ha. “Surgical robots” sounds funny.
  3. I bet people are posting funny videos of dancing robots and shit!
  4. I am about to get rickrolled. Must be careful.

I then proceeded on my happy way, and began reading some article about Freecell. And I happened upon this post, and I of course thought the following:

YOUTUBE VIDEO OMG!

And clicked.  Lo and behold, Rick Astley, singing Never Gonna Give You Up.  Rickrolled.  Goddamn.  I mean, I never grasped how extremely… shall we say faeriesque this man was until I watched this video.

Geez.  I’d lasted so very long in part because I didn’t have any functioning speakers, so I never clicked on any video links.  So long, sweet Rickroll cherry.  It was lovely while it lasted.
