Sexism and Insults as They Pertain to Hillary Clinton

I need your help, guys. I am really really really confused about language.  I found out at some point during Clinton’s campaign that it was unacceptably sexist to call a woman a bitch, which I accepted for a while.  But then I got to thinking (yes, I’ve been reading). I call men bitches, don’t I?  And bitch is sort of gender-specific anyway.  And isn’t it an insult, for fuck’s sake?

And what about asshole, douchebag, cocksucker, motherfucker, et al? Are they specifically male insults?  I get particular enjoyment out of female cocksuckers, personally.  And is motherfucker sexist because the person’s mother is obviously fucking him or her?  Or is it markedly feminist because your mother is sexually liberated enough to fuck whosoever she chooses? I’ve fucked a mother or two in my day, and it didn’t seem demeaning to either of us.

In hopes that I may somehow clarify this, I’ve compiled a list of insults, and juxtaposed them being leveraged against Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.  Please let me know when to stop:

Barack Obama is a bitch
Hillary Clinton is a bitch

Barack Obama is a cocksucker.
Hillary Clinton is a cocksucker.

(who just noticed that their names are equally long in Arial font? That’s like, totally alien spaceship shit.)

Barack Obama is a motherfucker.
Hillary Clinton is a motherfucker.

Barack Obama is a whiny little cunt.
Hillary Clinton is a whiny little cunt.

Barack Obama is a total asshole.
Hillary Clinton is a total asshole.

(I think you’re all clear to call Clinton an asshole, everybody, fyi. Do not, under any circumstances, call her a whiny little cunt. Or you will get your balls ripped off [I kid, I kid].)

Barack Obama is a whore.
Hillary Clinton is a whore.

I want to kick Barack Obama in the cock.
I want to kick Barack Obama in the pussy.
I want to kick Hillary Clinton in the cock.
I want to kick Hillary Clinton in the pussy.

Barack Obama is such a douchebag.
Hillary Clinton is such a douchebag.

Does poor little Barack got sand in his pussy?
Does poor little Hillary got sand in her pussy?

I want to beat the shit out of Barack Obama for being such a loudmouth.
I want to beat the shit out of Hillary Clinton for being such a loudmouth.

Barack Obama has major balls.
Hillary Clinton has major balls.

(Clinton does have major balls?  Why does this piss people off?)

Barack Obama needs to be put on a leash by his campaign manager.
Hillary Clinton needs to be put on a leash by her campaign manager.

(Oh, guys, I just noticed that Obama’s initials are BO… How unfortunate.)

Barack Obama is an insufferable twat.
Hillary Clinton is an insufferable twat.

Obama is insufferable.
Clinton is insufferable.

If you can’t handle the heat, Barack, get out of the kitchen.
If you can’t handle the heat, Hillary, get out of the kitchen.

Barack needs a spanking…
Hillary needs a spanking…

Man, I could go on forever, but I shan’t.  I still don’t know.  Is it sexist towards women to say that Obama has sand in his pussy? To say Clinton has balls?  I imagine most who care enough to get angry about it would think that both are directed towards women. Probably most on the list will be perceived as directed towards women.

I tend to think that if you keep diving in front of stray bullets, you’ll keep getting shot.

I’m not saying that sexist language isn’t bandied about all-too often, but I’m very fond of language and think it’s damaging to have it restricted by these inaccurate perceptions. I think that the reaction to the insults lobbed at Clinton is poorly thought-out and results in a very insidious form of censorship. If it’s not ok to call Clinton a bitch, let’s get a list of feminist-approved terms so that we can all live in peace and harmony, while still affording those of us who so choose the freedom to criticize the hell out of powerful women. Because powerful people need to be criticized. Or they will squish us like bugs.
