StumbleUpon: Powerful Web Marketing For The Lazy

I do not quite grasp web marketing. I know how all the parts work, but I’m not meticulous enough to make it all work. I’ve got an SEO All in One Pack that seems to work pretty well.

However. Screw SEO (not really). I use StumbleUpon to direct my posts to these people:

Who then, I’m assuming, give it a thumbs up because they care about me and want me to be successful. And look what happened the other day:

Google Analytics

That shocked the hell out of me. And look at this:

Google Analytics

So, you ask, all I have to do is refer my blog to two people and have them thumbs up it? Wrong, fool.  That’s where your awesomeness comes in.  You have to write a blog post that is socially relevant to the Stumbler, and that gets him or her engaged mentally.

In other words, hilarious facial hair.  This blog post coincided with the immediate quintupling of my daily traffic.  Which is significant, because it used to be all me.

In closing, I know it can be a struggle to remain relevant and on-point. But just remember, kids: Practice makes perfect. Unless you started that way, like me.
