TED Talks: Electroshock Therapy

My brother just sent me an excellent video from TED.com, and it’s fantastic.  It’s Sherwin Nuland’s talk entitled My history of electroshock therapy.

Very educational.  Very interesting.  It provides an excellent example of how something that might not be advisable for the entirety of the population can work out. Which, to my understanding, is two-fold:

  1. Just because it works for the individual doesn’t mean it works for the masses.
  2. Just because it doesn’t for the masses doesn’t mean it won’t work for the individual.

Plus, the distinguished Doctor Nuland and I share a mantra.  Watch the video. You will enjoy it thoroughly.
